Synergy Networking didn't begin with a master plan or a business blueprint. It began with a question: what if networking felt more like community? For founder Linda Cloke, the answer came after years of attending groups that were either too rigid, too cliquey, or left little room for real connection.

So in 2024, Linda set out to do things differently. She launched a single networking evening in Kent, built not on sales pressure or pitch-perfect scripts, but on real conversations, relaxed structure, and support that extended beyond the room.

The first event was small, but the atmosphere was different. Warm. Welcoming. Positive. And word spread fast.

Building Something That Felt Different

What made Synergy stand out from the beginning was its people-first approach. Instead of focusing on numbers and forced referrals, Synergy created space for people to talk freely, share ideas, and actually enjoy networking again.

Linda brought in her signature table moves.  Planned seat swaps that meant everyone spoke to someone new throughout the evening. The environment was still professional, but the pressure was gone. Add a buffet, a few good questions to spark conversation, and a sense of structure without the stress, and suddenly, networking didn't feel like a chore. It felt like a boost.

Growing Across Kent

As interest grew, so did the calendar. From that first event, Synergy began to pop up in other towns, starting with Maidstone, then expanding to Medway, Ashford, Herne Bay, Dartford, and Whitstable.

Each new group brought its own energy, but the core remained the same: structured, friendly events with a monthly rhythm, a lock-out system to protect industries, and a supportive room of like-minded people.

In 2024, Synergy hosted its biggest event to date.  115 people in one room, all chatting, connecting, and cheering each other on. The growth was organic, but the impact was powerful.

Why the Format Works

At the heart of Synergy's success is its format. Events are monthly, not weekly, giving business owners time to follow up properly without burning out. Presentations are relaxed, not rushed, with up to three minutes to introduce yourself, plus a few gentle questions to help you along. No scripts, no spotlights, just a friendly space to be yourself and be seen.

For those who want to go further, there are sponsorship opportunities with exclusive speaking slots. There's also a growing online community, free netwalking sessions, and a mobile-friendly app with business listings, member directories, and event bookings all in one place.

Meet Linda Cloke

Synergy is powered by its people, but it's driven by one in particular. Linda Cloke doesn't just run the events; she hosts them, creating the kind of atmosphere where even the most nervous newcomer feels instantly included.

With a background in events and a talent for spotting what makes people shine, Linda does far more than set up tables. She plans questions, curates connections, keeps things running smoothly, and listens closely to what members want next. She's the reason Synergy feels like it does: open, calm, energised, and easy to enjoy.

What's Next for Synergy?

The Synergy story is still being written. With new towns, more members, and fresh ideas always on the horizon, the network is growing—but staying grounded in what made it work from the start: kindness, community, and connections that go further than just business.

If you've been looking for a place to feel supported while growing your business, you're welcome at Synergy. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, you'll always have a seat at the table.
